The new Lancia Ypsilon was unveiled in Italy, marking the 35th anniversary of the iconic model. The new Ypsilon is a compact and elegant city car that combines style, technology, and sustainability. It offers a range of features and options that make it stand out from the crowd, such as:
- A hybrid engine that reduces emissions and fuel consumption while delivering a smooth and responsive performance. The new Ypsilon is the first Lancia model to adopt the FireFly Hybrid technology, which combines a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine with a 12-volt belt-integrated starter generator (BISG). The hybrid system can recover energy during braking and coasting and use it to assist the engine during acceleration and restart. Compared to the previous petrol version, the result is a reduction of up to 24% in CO2 emissions and up to 30% in fuel consumption. The new Ypsilon also meets the Euro 6D Final standards and can access the restricted traffic zones in many European cities.
- A new design that enhances the personality and elegance of the Ypsilon while maintaining its distinctive shape and proportions. The new Ypsilon features a revised front grille with a chrome-plated frame, honeycomb pattern, LED daytime running lights, and 15-inch alloy wheels. The rear bumper has also been redesigned with a more pronounced diffuser and a chrome-plated tailpipe. The new Ypsilon is available in 12 different colors, including two new ones: Blu di Blu and Grigio Lunare. The interior has also been updated with new fabrics and finishes, a new steering wheel, and a new instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch TFT display.
- A high level of customization allows the customers to choose from four different trim levels and a variety of options and accessories. The four trim levels are: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Maryne. The Silver version is the entry-level option, offering the essential features and equipment, such as manual air conditioning, electric front windows, and a radio with USB and AUX ports. The Gold version adds more comfort and convenience, such as automatic climate control, electric rear windows, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The Platinum version is the most refined and sophisticated option, featuring leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a digital radio with six speakers. The Maryne version is the most exclusive and distinctive option, inspired by the world of sailing and yachting. It features a unique Blu di Blu color, a white roof, and a nautical-themed interior, with blue and white striped seats, a wood-effect dashboard, and a leather steering wheel with blue stitching.
- A competitive price that makes the new Ypsilon an attractive and affordable choice for urban drivers. The 2024 Lancia Ypsilon starts from $16,500 for the Silver version and goes up to $21,500 for the Marine version. The customers can also benefit from various incentives and promotions, such as a $2,000 bonus for scrapping an old car, a $1,000 bonus for choosing a hybrid engine, and a $500 bonus for financing the purchase with FCA Bank.
