The Volkswagen T-Cross is one of the most successful models in the compact SUV segment. Since its launch in 2021, it has sold over 1.2 million units worldwide. Now, the German automaker has given the T-Cross a major update, with a refreshed design, improved interior, and new technology features.
What’s new in the T-Cross?
The T-Cross has always been a versatile and spacious vehicle, with a rear bench seat that can be moved by 140 mm and a flexible luggage compartment that can hold up to 1,281 liters. It also offers a range of efficient turbocharged petrol engines with outputs of 95, 115, and 150 PS. The T-Cross is available in four trim levels: T-Cross, Life, Style, and R-Line.
The new T-Cross has received several enhancements that make it even more attractive and functional. Here are some of the highlights:
- New exterior design: The T-Cross has a sharper and more distinctive look, with new integrated LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED taillight clusters. The IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights are a new development from Volkswagen and are offered for the first time on the T-Cross. The T-Cross also comes in three new colors: Grape Yellow, Clear Blue Metallic, and Kings Red Metallic.
- New interior design: The T-Cross has a more refined and high-quality interior, with a new dash panel that features soft-upholstered and premium surface materials. The front door trims of the Style and R-Line versions are also upgraded. The T-Cross has a new infotainment system generation, with a standard touchscreen of 8 inches and an optional one of 9.2 inches. The digital instruments are also standard on all versions. The T-Cross has a manual air conditioning system as standard and an optional Air Care Climatronic automatic air conditioner with back-lit touch sliders.
- New technology features: The T-Cross has several new and improved features that enhance its safety, comfort, and convenience. For example, the Travel Assist system allows semi-automated driving, the Park Assist system helps with parking maneuvers, and the Wireless App Connect system enables wireless smartphone integration. The T-Cross also has a new multifunction steering wheel, a new center console with a wireless charging pad, and a new keyless locking and starting system.
- Increased drawbar load: The T-Cross has a higher drawbar load of 75 kg, which means it can tow heavier trailers and carry more weight on a bike carrier. This is especially useful for transporting e-bikes, which are becoming more popular among customers.
